Are the gutters and downspouts on your property filled with debris? Have you checked?
If debris is allowed to build up, clogging the downspouts, water in the gutter is unable to flow down the spout. Proper drainage is a bigger problem during the cold winter months with freeze and thaw conditions. When the downspouts are clogged, water from melting snow is unable to properly drain therefore moisture freezes in the gutter. As the freeze and thaw cycle continues, the melting water finds the easiest way to flow which is most often towards the warm side of the gutter. The water seeps behind the gutter, beneath the drip edge, under the decking, then down the interior wall possible damaging drywall, short circuiting electrical, and causing mold. Not a pretty picture.
